Ryan M. Ranson, Esq.
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Ryan M. Ranson is the co-founder and managing partner of Ranson & Ranson and the lead attorney on every matter the firm takes. Before founding the firm, he practiced at Cole, Scott & Kissane, where he represented businesses in commercial disputes, and at Boies Schiller Flexner, where he handled high-net-worth divorce and family law matters. He is a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
That background is the firm’s model: family cases prepared with a commercial litigator’s discipline, and business disputes handled by someone who understands what is actually at stake for the owner. He represents clients in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade in divorce, custody, and post-judgment matters, and litigates business disputes in state and federal court across South Florida. He holds a leadership role in the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
Ryan prepares every case for the courtroom because that is what produces good settlements, and because some cases need to be tried. Clients work with him directly from the first call through the final order.
Lyne Ranson, Esq.
Limited Partner
Lyne Ranson is a limited partner of Ranson & Ranson and the founder of Lyne Ranson Law Offices, PLLC in Charleston, West Virginia, where she has practiced family law exclusively for more than three decades. She is not licensed in Florida and does not practice here; her role at the firm is advisory, and it shapes how the firm prepares and evaluates its cases.
Lyne began her career as an Assistant United States Attorney, receiving the Department of Justice’s Special Achievement Award, and was then elected a Circuit Court Judge, only the second woman to hold that office in West Virginia’s history. She left the bench to build a private practice devoted to complex divorce, custody, and marital property litigation and mediation.
She is a Fellow and Past Chair of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has served on its Board of Governors, is Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and chairs both the West Virginia State Bar Family Law Committee and the Kanawha County Family Law Bench-Bar Committee. She has taught trial advocacy at the West Virginia University College of Law and lectures nationally on alimony, marital property, and prenuptial agreements. She is a graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law.
